I've been out of the field for about 15 years so I looked up any current treatments. Oddly the new one is Cosentex. Which like most meds has multi use, I take the shot monthly for my psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis. Also has your Dr ever considered if a wound vac would be beneficial for you? Also have you tried using ABD pads? They come in sizes roughly 8x10, 10x14.5. They are normally used during or after surgery on the abdomen or any large area that has alot of drainage. I wish you well & my prayers are with you and your family.

What many people may or may not know these tunnel all over. Just like decubitis ulcers that elderly, bedbound people, diabetics etc get.

As a retired nurse this breaks my heart anyone going thru this. It's completely miserable for them and makes their life more difficult 😔

Biologics are great until you get Cancer from them. Humira is one. It’s in the literature it can cause Lymphoma. I got Lymphoma from it

I have HS and I've found something that works for me to control the infections. Use Dial bar soap. Wet the bar, rub it in the area where you're having an issue, then rinse and dry well. I have my spot clear up by morning most of the time doing it this way. There is something in Dial soup that's not in other bar soaps. It can't be shower gel or anything else except a bar of Dial soap. I'm praying for you. I know the pain can get excruciating. You're not alone.

Is there any Dr. that can go and remove the excess skin caused by the disease. Thank you for being brave enough to show what this disease has done to you.

Does the fact that you have a lot of body hair influence the amount of infections you get? Due to blocks pores etc from hair?

It is hard to work with doctors and nurses while staying days in the hospital to get all needs met. I totally understand dealing with nurses dropping gauzes and using it not getting fresh gauzes to put on you.
